1993 RP is a Trans-Neptunian Object of Plutino class. It was discovered on September 15, 1993 by Jane Luu and David C. Jewitt at the Mauna Kea Observatory using a 2.2 meter telescope. One day earlier, RO was discovered in 1993 (also by Jewitt and Luu) and one or two days later, 1993 SB and 1993 SC (by Iwan P.Williams et al.) Were discovered.

Very little is known about 1993 RP. The object has not been observed again since it was discovered. The diameter was calculated for an albedo of 0.09, but can also be significantly smaller with a higher albedo.
