2nd German Volleyball Bundesliga 1979/80 (men)

The 1979/80 season of the 2nd men's volleyball division was the sixth edition of this competition.

2nd Bundesliga North

Dürener TV became champions and promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . The runner-up TVK Wattenscheid also rose. VfL Bochum and TuS Iserlohn had to relegate.

Hamburger SV and CVJM Siegen were relegated from the 1st Bundesliga. VdS Berlin (north) and TVK Wattenscheid (west) rose from the regional league.
