20/20 Vision was a German pop-punk band from southern Lower Saxony .

history

It was founded in 1995 by the brothers Gregor and Sascha Hörold and Manuel Landskron under the name Generation Fuck in Uslar . In 1999 the line-up changed. Since then Florian Hilty has played the second guitar and Thomas Liedtke has played drums. In February 2006 the band changed their name to 20/20 Vision. In 2006, 20/20 Vision took a break from live for the first time to work on the follow-up album to Snapshots . During the year, the band wrote and recorded new songs. In November 2007 they officially announced their dissolution. The last appearance took place in Alfeld (Leine) .

Appearances and publications

20/20 Vision performed at the Highfield Festival at the Hohenfelden reservoir in 2001. Two years later, Moses Schneider ( Beatsteaks - Smack Smash , Tocotronic ) produced their first album Snapshots (2003). In the same year a video was created for their song My Melody , directed by Pascal Heiduk ( Kettcar ), with which the band entered the top ten of the Polish TRL charts. With their titles My Melody and Wake Up they were in the top 20 of the "Resistance Charts" for two months at the end of 2003 and the beginning of 2004 respectively.

The last concert

The band's last concert took place on February 23, 2008 at the Autohaus Feddersen in Alfeld (Leine) under the motto "The big 20/20 Vision Farewell Gala" . They had invited 14 friendly bands to this concert. The bands Ransom ( Berlin ), Kju: ( Hannover ), Francesco (Berlin), Softdrink ( Kassel ), Luka (Alfeld (Leine)), And Still I Bleed (Alfeld (Leine)), The 6th Tradition (Alfeld (Leine) ), Adriane ( Northeim ), BSE ( Bad Karlshafen ), Exit Inside ( Seesen ), Alive at Last (Alfeld (Leine)), Fatal Error ( Uslar ) and Nyu Ray C. (Uslar) wanted to do the last Sometimes to be on stage with the band. The special thing should be that the band Ransom had split up a year earlier, they should celebrate a comeback just for this concert. But it shouldn't come to that because they had to cancel the concert, just like the band Kju :, beforehand. The bands Brand New Jersey ( Sinsheim ) and Kuya Lu ( Höxter ) were announced as "replacements" .
