2Cellos is a Croatian cellist duo consisting of Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser.

Career

Luka Šulić (born August 25, 1987 in Maribor ) and Stjepan Hauser (born June 15, 1986 in Pula ) met in Zagreb at the Music Academy of the University of Zagreb . At the age of 15, Šulić was the youngest music student in the history of the Zagreb Music Academy . This was followed by semesters abroad in Vienna as well as at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester .

2Cellos gained international fame by posting self-made videos on YouTube , including Smooth Criminal . They were then signed by Sony Music in 2011 . The first album includes songs from U2 , Nirvana , Coldplay and Sting . This was followed by global appearances at festivals and concerts as well as a joint tour with Elton John . 2Cellos also made a guest appearance on the US television series Glee and appeared in numerous US shows, including the Ellen DeGeneres Show . In 2013 their second album In2ition was released , the third came out in 2015 under the name Celloverse , with whose music (pieces) they were on a promotional tour in Australia and Japan .

2Cellos played at the opening ceremony of the 2017/18 Champions League final in Kiev .
