2 plus 1 (also known as Dwa Plus Jeden and group "2 + 1" ) was a Polish pop folk band .

history

The band officially existed from 1971. In 1972 they recorded the hit Chodź, pomaluj mój świat , which is still one of the most played titles on Polish radio today. In December of the same year she released her first record Nowy wspaniały świat . Other of her popular songs were Czerwone słoneczko (1972), Wstawaj, szkoda dnia (1973), Hej, dogonię lato (1973), Na luzie (1974), Wyspa dzieci (1975), Odpłyniesz wielkim autem (1976), Windą do nieba ( 1978), Taksówka nr 5 (1978), Ding-Dong (1978) and Iść w stronę słońca (1981). In the 1970s, two singing plus 1 even more titles in German, which in the GDR on Amiga - samplers were published. The most famous titles from this phase are Hei, I catch the summer and fall asleep and catch the dreams . The Puhdys covered the title Sleep in and catch the dreams for their album Sturmvogel (1976).

Between 1977 and 1981 2 plus 1 was also internationally successful. The German-language single Feuervogel was produced by Hans-Jürgen Seybusch. This was followed by appearances in the NDR showroom with Werner Buttstädt. The Seybusch contract was then taken over by Michael Holm for his Autobahn label . Her song Easy Come, Easy Go became a huge hit in Western Europe . The band was also the first and only Polish band to appear on the German television show Musikladen . Two English albums, Easy Come, Easy Go and Warsaw Nights were also produced.

In the 1980s the band started playing synthpop and rock music . Bez limitu (1983) became their third gold record . Other well-known songs in this decade were Kalkuta nocą (1982), Nic nie boli (1982), Requiem dla samej siebie (1983), XXI wiek (1983), Wielki mały człowiek (1984), Video (1985) and Ocalę Cię (1989 ).

The end for 2 plus 1 came in 1992 when Janusz Kruk died of a myocardial infarction .
