The 4th arrondissement is an arrondissement (municipality) in the city of Marseille in the south of France . In 2008, 47,243 people lived here.
It is located east of Marseille city center. In the north it borders on the 13th arrondissement , in the east on the 1st and 3rd, in the south on the 5th and in the west on the 12th arrondissement .
