The 7th arrondissement is an arrondissement (municipality) of the city of Marseille in the south of France . In 2008 35,910 people lived here.
It is located immediately southwest of the city center of Marseille. In the northeast it borders on the 1st , in the east on the 6th and in the southeast on the 8th arrondissement . The Mediterranean Sea forms the natural border in the west.
