- Hermocrates of Syracuse begins the rebuilding of the walls of Selinunt in Sicily, which were destroyed by Carthage the previous year .
- The three poleis Ialysos , Kameiros and Lindos , who have dominated the island of Rhodes in the last few centuries despite constant competition, join forces and establish the future capital of Rhodes in the north of the island .
