5-decyne is a chemical compound from the alkynes group . It has the basic structure of the decane with a C≡C triple bond at the 5-position.
5-decyne ( dibutylethyne ) belongs to the symmetrical alkynes with 4-octyne ( dipropylethyne ), 3-hexyne ( diethylethyne ) and 2-butyne ( dimethylethyne ).
