The Austrian State Championship three-cushion 2014 was the 71st edition of this three-cushion tournament and took place from 23.-26. January 2014 in the playground of the BSK Augarten in Vienna , Austria .

description

The defending champion was Andreas Efler , who lost to the eventual winner Arnim Kahofer in the semifinals and took third place with three-time national champion Andreas Kronlachner . The surprise finalist was Georg Schmied. Former master Franz Stenzel was able to play his way into the final round with a good performance, but lost to Kronlachner in the quarter-finals with 29:40.

mode

Since 2013, the game has no longer been played in set mode, but, as in many other tournaments, at a distance. This is 40 points during the entire tournament  and an admission limit of 50 HAZ (maximum number of admissions). The 16 participants played in four groups (A – D) of four players each in round robin mode. The first two in the group qualified for the finals. The game for third place did not take place, both losers in the semi-finals received a bronze medal.
