action

Erika Lawson, news anchor for a local TV station, reports on a plane crash. Her husband Scott is on site as a cameraman and saves little Donald as the only survivor, who miraculously sustains no serious injuries. Erika and Scott have long had the desire to adopt a child. Now they plan to give the little boy a new home. It turns out that Donald is already an orphan and was placed in an orphanage in San Francisco.

They are overjoyed to adopt the boy. In the meantime, inexplicable deaths occur in Donald's environment within the staff of a hospital and a dentist. Scott's father Jake accidentally hits the boy with a baseball in the face while playing. When Jake wakes up the following night, he recognizes Donald in front of his window just before the ceiling fan kills him. After a former nun from the San Francisco orphanage suddenly shows up at the Lawsons' home and describes Donald as a child of Satan, Scott starts to think. A little later the nun dies. Scott researches the orphanage and finds that it burned to the ground and almost all of the residents died.

Since Erika has to travel on business, Scott's brother Tony and the newly hired nanny Lucy take care of Donald. However, Lucy is also sent by Satan. Scott visits Father O'Herlihy, the former home director in San Francisco. He tells him about the satanic mark 666 on Donald's tongue and that Scott has to kill Donald to stop the evil. Meanwhile, his brother Tony is brutally killed by machines in the garage. When Erika dies in her hotel room too, Scott kills Lucy, who attacks him, and then wants to kill Donald too. However, while he is kneeling over him, he is shot from behind by a police officer. Donald is adopted by Erika's sister Mary Lou.

criticism

"Inexpensive produced horror film without any independence."

"An" omen "seldom comes alone, and when Hollywood decides on a horror remake, the quick-shot imitation of the responsible trash clone chamber The Asylum is not far. Without wasting expensive time with atmospheric frills or a mythological background, the Antichrist is born half a teen and starts killing before dinner. Pre-telegraphed shocks in room sets, creative deaths within a tight budget, and after just 70 minutes it's all over. "
