A24 is an American film production company and film distributor based in New York City and Los Angeles .
history
A24 was founded in 2012 in New York City by Daniel Katz, David Fenkel and John Hodges. The company's focus is on independent films that are also intended to appeal to the multiplex audience. The financing, production and distribution of eight to ten films per year are planned.
In addition to producing its own films, A24 also rents films from other production companies on the US market. The films Spring Breakers , The Bling Ring , The Spectacular Now , Locke , The Rover , Tusk , A Most Violent Year , Room , Green Room , The End of the Tour and The Witch were awarded in the US market.
