course

The A35 begins in the east in Swaythling, a northern suburb of Southampton. It crosses the A33 road and passes the southern end of the short M271 motorway . After crossing the River Test, she turns to the southwest, crossing in Lyndhurst the A337 road that leads to the coast, and approaches in Christchurch (Dorset) even the coast. In Bournemouth it takes up the A338 road, which has been developed as a double carriageway, and from there on has the character of a primary route. It bypasses Poole and joins the A31 road in Bere Regis . The A354 road meets them in Puddletown, northwest of Dorchester . This town is bypassed to the south and the A354 branches off again south towards Weymouth . The A35 continues west and passes Bridport . North of Lyme Regis , it turns back into the hinterland, passes Axminster and finally ends in Honiton on the A30 road .
