The A73 road ( English for road A73 ) is a 61.3 km long, not designated as a primary route road in Scotland, which connects Abington with Cumbernauld .

The road begins in the south at junction 13 of the M74 motorway / A74 (M) motorway and initially runs together with the A702 road, which is designated as the primary route, to the north-northeast, but separates after around 2 km from this, meets the A72 road at Symington and turns to the northwest. In Hyndford Bridge crossing A70 road and the River Clyde is exceeded. The A73 continues to Lanark . There the A72 separates again, while the A73 leads northwest to Carluke and Newmains , where the A71 road crosses. South of Chapelhall , the road crosses the M8 motorway at its junction 6. In Airdrie it crosses the A89 road . At Cumbernauld it ends at the M80 motorway .
