The A937 road is an A-road in the Scottish Council Areas Angus and Aberdeenshire .

The road begins as a turn off the A92 ( Dunfermline - Stonehaven ) in the center of Montrose . It largely follows the course of the Edinburgh to Aberdeen Line along its entire length and crosses it twice. The A937 runs through the towns of Hillside and Craigo before crossing the North Esk over Marykirk Bridge to reach Aberdeenshire. The Marykirk Bridge, built in 1814 to a design by Robert Stevenson , is classified as a monument of the highest category A. The A937 forms the main road from Marykirk and crosses the A90 ( Edinburgh - Fraserburgh ) five kilometers beyond the village . The A937 is the main road in Laurencekirk . A few hundred meters beyond Laurencekirk, it finally joins the A90 after a total length of 16.1 km.
