The ADAC Sports Foundation supports motor sports enthusiasts.

Pilots can draw attention to themselves in ten funding disciplines and are proposed to the Board of Trustees after a selection by the Board of Directors. In addition to a financial grant for the realization of their motorsport season, the scholarship holders receive racing and training clothing as well as seminars on various topics.

In individual cases, young drivers from other series can also be included in the sighting.

The Board of Trustees of the ADAC Sports Foundation currently (as of May 2018) consists of the following five people.

Board

The ADAC Sports Foundation is headed by a two-person board: Wolfgang Dürheimer as chairman and Rupert Mayer as his deputy.

Before that, Erhard Oehm had been the chairman of the board since mid-2007, which he took over from Wilhelm Lyding, who founded the foundation in 1998 and managed it until his retirement.

Sponsorship group

The sponsorship group is open to individuals, associations, manufacturers, suppliers and organizations. Members include Pirelli Deutschland GmbH , ZF Race Engineering GmbH , Porsche AG , Keckeisen Akkumulatoren as well as the ADAC regional clubs Berlin-Brandenburg, Hansa, Hessen-Thuringia, Middle Rhine, Lower Saxony / Saxony-Anhalt, North Baden, North Bavaria, North Rhine, East Westphalia Lippe, Palatinate, Saarland, Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, South Baden, South Bavaria, Weser-Ems, Westphalia and Württemberg.

Former grant recipients

Former sponsors include the four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel . Nico Hülkenberg also asserted himself in the premier class and also won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2015. Timo Glock now drives in the DTM after Formula 1. Motocrosser Ken Roczen won the team world championship with Marcus Schiffer and Max Nagl, both also former promotional pilots, and at the age of 18 also became the youngest MX2 world champion of all time.
