The ADR União de Timor (Associação Desportiva e Recreativa 'União' de Timor, German  Association for Sport and Recreation 'Union' Timor ) is an East Timorese football club . He is based in the state capital Dili .

history

The association was founded in the 1950s by twelve locals with the help of Father Ezequiel Enes Pascoal and was the only association of its kind in Dili at the time that was not just a branch of an association from the Portuguese motherland. In the colonial times, the association was a meeting place for the local elite, some of whom already knew each other from school. Members were only Timorese, or Mestiços , no Portuguese . In private, they also met for political discussions. Several of the founders of União Democrática Timorense (UDT) and FRETILIN , East Timor's first political parties, including Nicolau dos Reis Lobato, came from the ranks of the association's members . The ADR União de Timor was based in the Caicoli district , near the market.

In 2005/2006 União was part of the Super League . But they were eliminated in the second round. The club did not take part in the Taça Digicel .

In 2015 the qualifying round for the newly founded league Futebol Amadora took place. União ended up in last place in Group C and therefore had to go to the Segunda Divisão in the 2016 season . Here you landed in Group A in sixth and last place, which is why you also played in the second division in the 2017 season. In 2017, too, they ended up in last place in Group B and thus eliminated from the two LFA leagues.

At Taça 12 de Novembro 2016 they were eliminated in the first round with 1: 3 against Assalam FC .
