District court Dülmen

Dülmen is the seat of the district court of Dülmen , which is responsible for the city of Dülmen in the Coesfeld district. Around 47,000 people live in the 184 km² judicial district .

Superior courts

The regional court overriding the Dülmen District Court is the Münster Regional Court , which in turn is subordinate to the Hamm Higher Regional Court .

From 1879 to 1897 the court was housed in the Dülmen town hall. In 1897 a two-story brick building with Renaissance and Baroque elements was built on Königswall. After the destruction in World War II, a new building in a simpler form (without gable, simplified roof) took place in the same place in 1951.
