District court Steinfurt

Steinfurt is the seat of the Steinfurt District Court , which is responsible for the municipalities of Altenberge , Laer , Metelen , Nordwalde and Wettringen as well as for the cities of Greven , Horstmar , Ochtrup and Steinfurt in the Steinfurt district. Around 137,000 people live in the 649 km² judicial district . In addition, the district court of Steinfurt is responsible for agricultural matters in the districts of Rheine and Steinfurt.

Superior courts

The regional court above the Steinfurt District Court is the Münster Regional Court , which in turn is subordinate to the Hamm Higher Regional Court .
