Lüdinghausen is the seat of the Lüdinghausen District Court , which is responsible for the communities of Ascheberg , Olfen and Senden as well as for the cities of Lüdinghausen and Nordkirchen in the Coesfeld district. Around 83,000 people live in the 460 km² judicial district .

The regional court superordinate to the Lüdinghausen district court is the Münster regional court , which in turn is subordinate to the Hamm Higher Regional Court .
