The Jakarta ATP tournament (officially Jakarta Open , also Indonesia Open ) was a tennis tournament that was held from 1993 to 1996 in the Indonesian city of Jakarta . The tournament was played outdoors on hard courts, the venue was the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium . It was usually scheduled at the beginning of the season, it served as preparation for the Australian Open . Until it was discontinued, the tournament was part of the ATP World Series category , the predecessor of the ATP World Tour 250 .
The record winner of the tournament is the American Michael Chang , who won the first two runs of the event.
