action

Dennis Nordell passed his training as a police officer with flying colors. He teams up with some criminals and uses police ID and uniform to get information that would otherwise be difficult to get. He uses the knowledge he has gained through his training to commit several camp robberies. His confidante with the gang is a man named Frankie. The first thing they do is break into the depot of a schnapps factory and astonish the police not only with the type of break-in, but also with their apparently existing knowledge. After a while the newspaper reports with a big headline: “Three more warehouse break-ins. Mysterious gang loots warehouse and loots goods valued at $ 30,000. ”These break-ins now occur almost weekly, always triggering false alarms in different places, far from the places where the gang operates. The stolen goods are transported away in large trucks. In the meantime, the newspapers report almost daily on the "schnapps gang", as they are called, which has looted 27 warehouses within four months.

When McGuiness, a veteran policeman, accidentally uncovered the gang during one of their new raids and asked Nordell to stop, he shot him down. The police are now convinced that someone from their ranks is involved, but have no evidence. Everything is now being done to track down the colleague's murderer. And in the end, Nordell, who lays the wrong track to make someone else atone for his deed, also succeeds in nailing down on the basis of a small thing that breaks his neck: He overlooked the fact that the man whom he saw the murder of McGuiness wanted to shove in the shoes, a member of his middle finger is missing on his firing hand.
