Kamal Bhatnagar is a jealous husband. He doubts his wife Sunita's loyalty after his best friend Mohan enters her life. Consumed by jealousy, Sunita fails to convince Kamal of her love for him. He leaves her without knowing that Sunita is pregnant by him.
The depressed Kamal becomes a vagabond while Sunita marries in order to be able to offer her child a stable family situation. Kamal only learns of the truth years later. As a broken man, he attends the wedding of his now grown daughter.
