chronology
The Fiction We Live Abandon Your Friends These Speakers Don't Always Tell The Truth ( EP )

Abandon Your Friends is the third music album by the band From Autumn to Ashes . Like the second album The Fiction We Live, it was released on the Vagrant Records label. For the production was Garth Richardson ( Red Hot Chili Peppers , Rage Against the Machine , Mudvayne , Kittie ) responsible. The band began writing songs in mid-2004. Francis Mark, singer and drummer, is the focus of this album.

The album title could have indicated an imminent breakup of the band, as the band was already struggling with some breaks, but that was not the case.

The album was the occasion for their first major European tour, during which the band performed at the well-known Groezrock festival in 2005.

content

The album is not as hard as its two predecessors, which can easily be seen in the ballads Streamline , Kansas City 90210 , Long To Go and Abandon Your Friends . Nevertheless, the "old" sound is brought back into focus with songs like Where Do You Draw The Line , The Funny Thing About Getting Pistol Whipped Is ... , Short For Show and Jack + Ginger .
