Abbenseth ( Low German Abbenseet ) is a district of the Lower Saxony municipality of Hollnseth in the eastern part of the district of Cuxhaven and is located on the Mehe .

Neighboring places
Abbenseth is located between Hollen in the north and Mehedorf in the south in the east of the district of Cuxhaven an der Mehe . In the east borders Iselersheim to Abbenseth, southwest Alfstedt and west of the small belonging to Abbenseth place Langeln .
Transport links
The district road 32 runs through Abbenseth , which leads in the north over the Hollener Mühle , Hollen and Nindorf to Lamstedt to the federal road 495 . In the south, the road goes over to the district border with the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in the district road 35 , which runs to Iselersheim . Smaller roads lead to Alfstedt and Langeln .
history
Compared to Hollen , Abbenseth is a young village and was first mentioned in a document in 1510.
In the First World War twenty-three soldiers were killed or are missing and in the Second World War, forty-four.
On July 1, 1972, the formerly independent community of Abbenseth including the district of Langeln and Hollen were merged to form the new community of Hollnseth .
