Hollen is a district of the Lower Saxon community Hollnseth in the district of Cuxhaven and is located on the Mehe .
Geography and transport links
Hollen is located near the Mehe on the Geest west of the Oste . In the south, the border with the Rotenburg (Wümme) district extends .
Neighboring towns are Nindorf in the north, the Nindorfer Moor in the northeast, Brobergen and Ostendorf in the east, Iselersheim in the southeast, Abbenseth in the south, Langeln in the southwest and Armstorf in the west.
The district road 32 runs through Hollen, which runs in the north via Nindorf to Lamstedt to federal road 495 ( Bremervörde - Wischhafen ) and in the south to Abbenseth. Smaller roads also lead to Ostendorf, Armstorf and the Nindorfer Moor.

Hollen was first mentioned in a document in 1004.
The Hollener Mühle is a bit away from the village on the Mühlenbach, which flows into the Mehe . The mill was in operation from 1801 to 1940. Today it functions as a museum mill. There is a restaurant next door.
In the First World War fifteen soldiers died from Hollen or missing and in the Second World War, forty-two.
On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Hollen was merged with the municipality of Abbenseth to form the new municipality of Hollnseth .

Hollen is evangelical-Lutheran and belongs to the parish of the Bartholomäuskirche in Lamstedt .
For the (few) Catholics is St. Ansgar's Church in Hemmoor -Warstade responsible, since 2010 parish spirit Christmas in Stade belongs.
Hollen has its own cemetery with a chapel on the local road .
