Mehedorf ( Low German Mehdbod ) is a town in Lower Saxony in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district . It is part of the city of Bremervörde and has 205 inhabitants.

geography
Mehedorf is around five kilometers north of Bremervörde and east of the Mehe . The place is in the Vörder Moor, an outer area of the Teufelsmoors .
history
Mehedorf was founded in 1776 by Jürgen Christian Findorff as part of the moor colonization . In 1789 it is stated that the place had 35 houses, in which 186 people, including 108 children, lived.
On March 1, 1974, the place was incorporated into the city of Bremervörde.
