Hönau-Lindorf ( Low German : Hönau-Lindbod ) is a place in Lower Saxony in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district and part of the city of Bremervörde .

geography

Hönau-Lindorf is about 6 km north of Bremervörde between Mehe and Oste and is part of the municipality of Bremervörde. The place is in the Vörder Moor, a northern part of the Teufelsmoors .

history

Hönau was founded in 1780 as part of the moor colonization by Jürgen Christian Findorff . In 1789 it is stated that the number of fire pits was 18, divided into nine houses, two huts, four vacant and three vacant. The place had 61 inhabitants at the time, including 33 children.

On March 1, 1974, the place was incorporated into the city of Bremervörde.
