Bevern is a district of the city of Bremervörde in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district in Lower Saxony, south of the actual urban area .

history

Bevern was 986 for the first time in a document from King Otto III. (HRR) mentioned and celebrated the millennium in 1986. The name Bevern comes from the old name for beaver Bivern , as beavers used to live in the Bever river that flows through Bevern and flows into the Oste .

On the outskirts of Bevern, the treasure trove of Bokel was raised in 1929 , which was buried around or soon after 1218 and is probably related to the work of the miracle healer Otbert (miracle healer) on the Bockel farm on the southern edge of the village of Bevern.

On March 1, 1974, Bevern was incorporated into the city of Bremervörde.
