Abbuoto is a red grape grown in the Italian region of Latium and Morocco . It is generally not made into a single variety, but used as a blending partner in wine . The alcohol content of the red wines made from it is high.
distribution
The largest vineyards are in the area around Fondi in the province of Latina . In 2010 the worldwide cultivation area was 2376 ha.

Ampelographic varietal characteristics
- The shoot tip is open. It is woolly hairy ( indument ), greenish with a slightly white tinge. The light green young leaves are almost hairless and greenish-bronze in color.
- The leaf blade of the medium-sized leaves is five-lobed and narrowly curved . The stem bay is open in a U-shape. The sheet is serrated to a point. The leaf surface is blistered and coarse.
- The cylindrical to conical grape is sometimes shouldered, large and quite dense. The round berries are medium-sized and bluish-purple in color.
Maturity: The grape variety ripens around 22 days after the Gutedel , similar to the Pinot Noir and is therefore considered to ripen early in Lazio.
