Abdul Khaliq

Abdul Khaliq (born March 23, 1933 in Jand , Punjab , † March 10, 1988 in Rawalpindi ) was a Pakistani sprinter .

In 1954 he won the Asian Games in Manila over 100 m . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Vancouver , he finished fifth with the Pakistani 4-by-110-yard relay and reached the semi-finals over 100 yards .

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , he came over 100 m, 200 m and with the Pakistani 4 x 100 meter relay in the semifinals.

In 1958 he defended his title over 100 m at the Asian Games in Tokyo and won silver over 200 m . At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Cardiff , he reached the semi-finals over 100 yards and the quarter-finals over 220 yards.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1960 , he reached the semifinals with a Pakistani 4 x 100 meter relay. Over 100 m and 200 m he was eliminated in the preliminary run.
