geography
course
The Abersfelder Mühlbach rises in the Hesselbacher Waldland , which is also called Schweinfurt Rhön , at an altitude of 327 m above sea level. NHN in the Hohenrodgrund field, east of the Abersfeld district of Schonungen at the southwestern foot of the Gänshügel ( 351 m above sea level ).
It initially flows just under half a kilometer in a westerly direction through an agricultural zone and is then fed on its right by the small stream coming from the north-east from the Gänsgraben . Immediately afterwards, the Abersfelder Mühlbach disappears south of the Märzgrund industrial park, piped underground, then crosses under the B 303 , feeds a tiny pond and then reappears on the surface west of the Alte Bucher Straße . He now runs north of the street Am Mühlbach along the southern edge of the village and changes to the other side of the street at the level of Waldsachsen Straße . Shortly afterwards it is strengthened on its left side by the Wurmbach coming from the south-southeast . At the western end of the village he used to run the Abersfeld mill .
It now turns to the northwest and moves on the wooded south side of the summer slope through a narrowing valley. On the other side is the sacred field . The stream now flows through wavy and wooded Keuper plateaus. It now runs accompanied by a tree gallery and the district road SW 25 between the Hohen Klingen in the north and the Hammellohe in the south through the fields and meadows of the Keilsgraben corridor .
On the eastern edge of the Schonungener district Marktsteinach it unites in the Flur Grundwiesen at an altitude of 261 m above sea level. NHN with the torrent to Steinach coming from the northeast .
