Abitibi-Ouest is a regional county municipality ( French municipalités régionales de comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .

It is located in the administrative region of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and consists of 23 subordinate administrative units (three cities, 15 municipalities, one canton municipality, two districts and two municipality-free areas). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1983. The main town is La Sarre . The population is 20,759 and the area is 3321.9 km², which corresponds to a population density of 6.2 inhabitants per km².
