Achille Sfondrini

Achille Sfondrini (born February 1, 1834 or 1836 in Milan , † February 7, 1900 there ) was an Italian architect .

Life

Sfondrini attended the "Scuola reale superiore" (formerly Scuola tecnica - Technical School) in Milan. In 1853 he passed the preliminary examination for the study of mathematics and for engineers and architects at the University of Pavia. He was initially admitted, but then expelled because of his political views. In 1856 he resumed his studies at the "Scuola di applicazione di Padova" and continued it until 1860 at the University of Parma, where he graduated. After studying architecture, he specialized in the construction or conversion of theaters. Its most famous building is the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma .
