Achim Schmid

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Achim Schmid (* 1975 in Mosbach ) is a book author, radio presenter, producer, marketing expert and former German right-wing extremist living in the USA . In the 1990s he was a musician on the international right-wing extremist music scene and founder of the European White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan , which he left in 2002. Today he is active against racism and xenophobia and, in addition to the drop-out aid EXIT Germany and EXIT USA, also supports black communities in the greater Memphis region (Tennessee) .

Life

Right-wing music

In addition to activities in the NPD and the Young National Democrats , Schmid was also active in the field of right-wing extremist music in the 1990s . He became internationally known as a founding member of the band Wolfsrudel . He also performed as a soloist under this name. He was also the founder and front man of the bands Höllenhunde Süddeutschland and Celtic Moon. He also published the right-wing extremist Skinzine A.fD (“Alles für Deutschland”). Schmid was one of the first musicians on the German right-wing extremist scene to appear publicly in the USA. Schmid performed other international appearances several times for the Scandinavian Blood and Honor offshoot as well as in neighboring European countries.

Ku Klux Klan

In 1998 Achim Schmid joined the German branch of the International Knights of the Ku Klux Klan and quickly became a Kleagle (recruiter). After internal disputes, he left the group and together with other members founded their own German Ku Klux Klan offshoot with the name European White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan , based in Schwäbisch Hall . In 2000 he flew to the USA specifically to be named Grand Dragon . His Ku Klux Klan group became known nationwide in 2012 after the National Socialist Underground (NSU) was blown up. The fact that two police officers from Baden-Württemberg were active in the group and one of the two police officers was the superior of Michèle Kiesewetter , who was murdered by the NSU in 2007 , triggered a nationwide scandal. The Ku Klux Klan complex was also a topic on several occasions in the various investigations into the National Socialist Underground, where a possible connection between Schmid's Ku Klux Klan group and the NSU was examined. Evidence that Achim Schmid belonged to the support group of the NSU could be excluded. Another member of the Ku Klux Klan offshoot he founded was the late undercover agent Thomas Richter, alias "Corelli" .

After his exit

After leaving the right-wing scene and the KKK in 2002, he used his experience as an entrepreneur in the field of music promotion and international artist management to found his first owner-managed company in the commercial sector. In 2005 he worked for the first time in sales marketing for the call center area of a financial service provider and has meanwhile successfully built up two call center areas. In 2009 he founded a personnel service company and from 2009 to 2012 was also a member of the examination committee for personnel service clerks at the IHK in Kiel . Achim Schmid is co-author of the specialist book Sales Machine Leads - The Correct Dealing with Leads , which is aimed at insurance brokers.

Achim Schmid is actively involved against xenophobia and racism in his adopted home, the USA, as well as in Germany . a. black communities and initiatives. In 2006 he wrote his biography Forgotten Memory , the first volume of which was published on September 14, 2016 by Edition Widerschein from EXIT Germany. Two more volumes will follow, dealing with the topics of the Ku Klux Klan and his exit from the right-wing extremist scene.

V-man activity

It has been speculated since 2012 that Schmid was an informant for the Baden-Württemberg Office for the Protection of the Constitution between 1994 and 2000 . These rumors were confirmed in 2013 by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior. Before that, in 2003 there were at least two documented levy reports by the constitution protection .
