Rolf Adam Engelbrekt Alsing (born October 12, 1968 in Karlstad ; † April 15, 2020 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish radio and television presenter .

Life

Adam Alsing was the son of Rolf Alsing , the former editor-in-chief of the Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet . He grew up in his hometown Karlstad and in Sollefteå . During his youth he worked as a DJ. After finishing school, he worked as a television presenter at Radio Värmland , a local station for Sveriges Radio .

When the Swedish broadcaster TV4 started its program in 1990, Alsing applied as a possible presenter and was awarded the contract to present the television program Twist & Shout . With his own talk show Adam and the channel change to TV3 , he established himself in the afternoon television program. He founded his own production company with Think Big Productions and thus established a business relationship with the private broadcaster Kanal 5 . From 2000 to 2004 he was the presenter of the Swedish version of Big Brother . In 2014, he again acted as a presenter for a season of Big Brother, this time on Channel 9 .

From 2006 to 2007 he took over the Swedish version of Jeopardy from Magnus Härenstam ! on TV4. From 2009 to 2011 he presented Sveriges värsta bilförare and from September 2011 to April 2012 he again had his own talk show with Adam Live .

On March 25, 2020, he announced that he was in quarantine at home due to a SARS-CoV-2 infection. On April 15, 2020, Alsing died at the age of 51 in Stockholm's Södersjukhuset during the COVID-19 pandemic in Sweden as a result of his infection. He had been dating his wife since the early 1980s. The couple have two sons.
