Adam Hague (born August 29, 1997 in Sheffield ) is a British pole vaulter .

Athletic career

Adam Hague gained his first international experience at the World Youth Championships 2013 in Donetsk , where he finished sixth with 4.90 m. In 2014 he was eighth at the Junior World Championships in Eugene with 5.35 m. The following year he won the gold medal at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna with 5.50 m. At the U20 World Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2016 , he finished fifth with 5.40 m. In 2018 he took part in the Commonwealth Games in the Australian Gold Coast for the first time , where he finished fourth with 5.45 m. He also qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where he finished tenth with a 5.65 m finish. The following year he reached seventh place at the U23 European Championships in Gävle with a jump of 5.50 m.

In 2018 and 2020 Hague became British indoor pole vault champion. He is a student at de Sheffield Hallam University .
