Adam Nagaitis
Adam Matthew Nagaitis (born June 7, 1985 in Chorley , Lancashire ) is a British actor , best known for his leading roles in The Terror 2018 and Chernobyl 2019.

Nagaitis was born on June 7, 1985 in Chorley , Lancashire, England. In 2004, at the age of 19, he moved to New York City and began studying acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory . In New York he founded and ran a theater company. He continued his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London , where he obtained his BA in Acting in 2012. During his time with RADA, he recorded several radio plays for BBC Radio 4 and was awarded the BBC Radio Carleton Hobbs Award in 2012.
Career
After his five-year acting training, he mainly appeared in films and series that show true historical events and in which he often played real people. In 2014 he got a role in '71 , Yann Demange's feature film debut about the Northern Ireland conflict , and in 2015 the first longer role in a miniseries in Banished about the convict colony of Australia , which he himself describes as his breakthrough. In 2016 he starred in productions about Houdini and Doyle and about the Brontë siblings . He achieved greater international fame through series leading roles in The Terror from 2018 and Chernobyl from 2019. At Christmas 2019 he was seen as a miniseries in an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol . In 2020 he will play a role in the film Gunpowder Milkshake .
