Addison Shelburne Powell (born February 23, 1921 in Belmont , Massachusetts , † November 8, 2010 in Shelburne , Vermont ) was an American actor .

Life

Addison Shelburne Powell was the son of two teachers, Kathrene Barnum and Edward Henry Powell. He graduated from Boston University and served as a pilot in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II . He was stationed at the military base near East Anglia , England and flew over 30 combat missions with Boeing B-17 bombers. After the war, he graduated from Yale School of Drama with an acting degree . Powell died on November 8, 2010 at the age of 89. The 1950 marriage to Bunnie Rowle lasted until her death in 1995. The couple had three children together. When Powell passed away, he left behind three children, eight grandchildren and a younger brother.
