The Adenauer Bach is an almost sixteen kilometer long right and southern tributary of the Ahr , which flows through Adenau in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Ahrweiler .

The Adenauer Bach is called Breidscheider Bach in the upper reaches and rises about one kilometer south of Quiddelbach at an altitude of about 533  m above sea level. NHN . It flows northeast to the Adenau district of Breidscheid in the north loop of the Nürburgring . From there it bears the name Adenauer Bach. It continues to flow in a westerly direction, mostly piped, through the city of Adenau and then northwards, passing through the places Leimbach and Niederadenau (district of Dümpelfeld ). In Dümpelfeld it flows from the right at a height of about 209  m into the Rhine tributary Ahr coming from the west .

Catchment area and tributaries

The 58.5 km² catchment area drains via the Ahr and Rhine to the North Sea .
