Aderlan Leandro de Jesus Santos (born April 9, 1989 in Salgueiro , Pernambuco ) is a Brazilian football player . He has played as a defender at EC Vitória on loan since April 2018 .

Career

Aderlan Santos played in his youth for the youth departments of various Brazilian soccer clubs. At the age of eight he started playing football for the local club Tête, before joining the youth of Salgueiro AC , the football club in his hometown, in 2005 . Here Santos began his professional career as a footballer in 2008, got a two-year contract and made four appearances for the club until 2010. During this time he was awarded to Araripina FC for almost a year in 2009 .

In 2010 Santos finally left Brazil, traveled to Europe and moved to CD Trofense in the Portuguese second division . Santos made his league debut when his team lost 2-1 to Gil Vicente FC , scoring the only goal for his team. Santos played for CD Trofense for two years until 2012, during which time he made 33 appearances for the club and scored seven goals. Santos moved to Sporting Braga in the first division in 2012 , where he also played for the club's second team for a year. After this time he only played for the first team for the next three years. During this time he won the Taça da Liga , the Portuguese league cup, with the team on April 13, 2013 with a 1-0 win against FC Porto . In total, Santos made 67 appearances for Sporting Braga, scoring seven goals. Especially in his last time at Braga, various clubs have expressed their interest in Santos, including AS Monaco .

In 2015 Santos moved to the Spanish first division club Valencia CF for 9.5 million euros , with whom he signed a five-year contract.

In July 2017 it was loaned back to Brazil to São Paulo FC . Here he played the 2017 championship and the 2018 São Paulo state championship . For the 2018 championship , Santos was awarded to the EC Vitória . With the end of the championship he was sold to al-Ahli (Saudi Arabia) . In August 2019 the club loaned Santos to Portugal to Rio Ave FC .
