Adlig Reetz is part of the municipality of Neureetz . Neureetz has been part of the municipality of Oderaue in the district of Märkisch-Oderland (Brandenburg) since 1997 , which is administered by the Barnim-Oderbruch Office.

Geographical location

The village is ten kilometers north of Wriezen and ten kilometers east of Bad Freienwalde (Oder) . The village of Königlich Reetz lies directly to the south, the two villages form an angle.

history

Findings in the area of the village show that people lived here as early as the Neolithic Age. Adlig Reetz came into being after the Oderbruch had been drained in 1756. The village was laid out in a northeast-southwest orientation. In the middle of the village there was a shaft ditch for drainage, the ditch was bordered by roadways. In 1763 57 families lived here, nothing is known about the origins of the people.

In 1814 the village burned down almost completely. Only eight of 57 farms were spared from the fire. The village was rebuilt. The shaft ditch was filled in around 1840.

Architectural monuments

In addition to the village complex of Adlig Reetz, six architectural monuments in Adlig Reetz are under monument protection.

  • Adlig Reetz 15: Today the farm complex consists of a house and two stables. The buildings were built after the village fire in 1814.
  • Adlig Reetz 20: The courtyard was built after the fire in 1814. Around 1900 the system was bought by the neighbor Alt Reetz 21 and converted. The half-timbered house has since been used as farm workers' accommodation.
  • Adlig Reetz 29: The house was built in 1815 after the fire in 1814. It is a single-storey half-timbered house with a gable roof . There is a wooden entrance arbor in front of the entrance.
  • Adlig Reetz 31: The house was probably built after the village fire in 1814. The house is a single-storey half-timbered house with a half-hip roof.
  • Adlig Reetz 42: The courtyard was once a four-sided courtyard . Today the house and a stable are still standing. This house was also built after the village fire in 1814. The house is a single-storey half-timbered house with a gable roof.
  • Adlig Reetz 44: The house and two stables of the former four-sided courtyard are still standing. The house was built around 1800 and was thus spared the village fire in 1814. In 1909 the house was rebuilt.
