Florian Heinke (* 1981 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German painter . He lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.

Life

Florian Heinke studied from 2004 to 2005 at the Mainz Art Academy with Friedemann Hahn. From 2005 to 2009 he continued his studies at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main with Christa Näher in free painting and finished this with the master class . Since the beginning of his studies, Heinke has initiated his own exhibitions, sometimes in art-untypical locations such as B. clubs, cafés, second-hand bookshops or in public spaces, since the reference to everyday life always plays a central role in his work.

In 2010 he organized and curated the exhibition “Love kills. Betting on the Muse. ”With works by well-known artists such as u. a. Thomas Bayrle , André Butzer , Anton Corbijn , Jack Goldstein , Friedemann Hahn, Gregor Hildebrandt , Barbara Klemm , Alicja Kwade , Sandra Mann , Jonathan Meese , Christa Näher , Nam June Paik , Manfred Peckl, Raymond Pettibon , Tobias Rehberger , Anselm Reyle , Gerhard Richter , Marcus Sendlinger, Karsten Thormaehlen , Günther Uecker , Eva Weingärtner and Thomas Zipp .

In 2008, together with Daniel Birnbaum , he erected a memorial in the form of a stumbling block in front of the Frankfurt Römer of love and its fragility. He had his former golden engagement rings buried and cemented under an unmarked paving stone in front of the gates of the registry office on the Römerberg.

Heinke's work revolves around society, interpersonal issues, the you and I as well as the we and the others. He traces current social tendencies and shows fractures in interpersonal relationships - the emotional flattening of relationships, loneliness, the inability to communicate in a fast-paced, globalized world.

Heinke always paints in black and with acrylic on industrial nettle. Heinke calls his way of working, which he has followed since 2006, as BLACK POP. Based on Pop Art , however, he does not show the “beautiful appearance” of the consumer world, but wants to convey feelings. His motifs take up situations as they are known from everyday life, and aim partly at shocking, partly provocative, but always emotionally at a reaction from the viewer. This apparent boldness of Heinke's picture staging seduces the viewer to superficial consumption - and demonstrates him: A quick glance, a familiar motif, the representation seems clear and easy to grasp. And thus sits on common picture myths without reflection.
