The Adolf-Noßberger-Hütte in Gradental in the Schobergruppe (community Großkirchheim , Carinthia ) is an alpine club hut of the Alpenverein Edelweiss , branch of the Austrian Alpine Association . The 1930 / 1931 built hut of the first category was for the mountaineers Adolf Noßberger named (1881-1946). The hut is located on the turquoise-blue Gradensee, several other lakes can be reached in a short walk. The supply takes place by helicopter and by the hut keeper in a backpack.

Management

The hut has been managed by Christian Krüger since 2013.

Approaches

The starting point for the approaches to the hut is the Mölltal in Carinthia , Austria . It can be reached from the north via the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and from the south via Lienz .

  • From Putschall ( 1053  m ) through the Gradental in 4½ hours. It is possible to drive a part of the Gradental via a farm road to the Gradenalm ( 1640  m ) by car. In this case, the ascent to the hut is shortened by 2 hours.
  • From Döllach ( 1024  m ) near Großkirchheim over the Förstersteig into Gradental and from there to the hut in 5½ hours of walking.

  • To the highest mountain in the Schober group, the Petzeck ( 3283  m ), over the Petzeckscharte in 3½ hours
  • On the Großer Hornkopf ( 3251  m ), alpine ridge tour (climbing up to III +), 3 hours
  • On the Kreuzkopf ( 3103  m ), 2.5 hours

Transitions

  • Via the Niedere Gradenscharte ( 2796  m ) to the Lienzer Hut ( 1977  m ) in 3 hours ( Noßberger Weg )
  • Via the Hohe Gradenscharte ( 2803  m ) to the Wangenitzseehütte ( 2508  m ) in 3 hours ( Holländer Weg )
  • Via the Klammer- ( 2930  m ) or Hornscharte ( 2958  m ) to the Elberfelder Hütte ( 2346  m ) in 4 hours. The route over the Hornscharte is part of the Wiener Höhenweg from Iselsberg to Glocknerhaus .
