Adolf Plathner (born November 29, 1861 in Gronau , † October 30, 1937 in Hanover ) was a German lawyer , municipal official and senator . The statutes and ordinances for the city of Hanover published by him in 1900 is an important reference work to this day .

Born as the son of a Gronau businessman during the reign of the Kingdom of Hanover , Adolf Plathner passed his second state examination in law in November 1890 and received his doctorate. He then worked until April 1891 at the district court of Winsen an der Luhe as a court assessor , then as a legal assistant at the municipal authorities in Frankfurt am Main .
