Adolf Seubert (politician)

Adolf Seubert (born November 6, 1833 in Alzey ; † August 13, 1883 in Neuenahr ) was a Hessian politician ( NLP ), mayor of Alzey from 1871 to 1883 and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Adolf Seubert was the son of the landowner Heinrich Gottlob Pantokrates Seubert (who was Mayor of Alzey from 1848 to 1858) and his wife Sibilla, née Guilino. Seubert, who was a Catholic, received his doctorate and married Regina Luis née Maier. His son of the same name bequeathed the family-owned stately property at Schlossgasse 14 to the city of Alzey in 1916, as well as 90 acres of arable land and viticulture to the city of Alzey.

From 1879 to 1883 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 12 / Alzey .
