Johann Grode

Georg Johann Grode (born February 25, 1801 in Gabsheim , † June 3, 1883 in Gau-Odernheim ) was a Hessian landowner and liberal politician and a member of the 2nd Chamber of the Estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Johann Grode was the son of the landowner and member of the state parliament Johann Conrad Grode (1766-1832) and his wife Maria Josepha, née Karl. Grode, who was a Catholic, was a landowner in Gabsheim and then in Gau-Odernheim and married Barbara née Gardt.

From 1834 to 1841 and again from 1847 to 1849 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Estates. He was initially elected for the constituency Rheinhessen 5 / Nieder-Olm-Bretzenheim and then the constituency Rheinhessen 1 / Alzey.
