Adolf Stockleben (politician, 1902)

Adolf Stockleben (born April 8, 1902 in Rethmar , Burgdorf district , † October 27, 1959 in Peine ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

Life

After attending primary school, Adolf Stockleben completed an apprenticeship as a bricklayer . He joined the union in 1919 and the SPD a year later. In 1929 he was elected to the community committee. He moved to Handorf in the district of Peine in 1932 and to the city of Peine in 1952. In the SPD sub-district Peine-Burgdorf he took over the chairmanship from 1947 to 1954, in 1954 he then took over the chairmanship of the SPD local association Peine. He became a member and board member (until 1959) at the plenary assembly of the Hildesheim Chamber of Crafts in November 1948, and was vice-president of the chamber from 1954 to 1959. He had been head of the Salzgitter-Barbecke-Peine water supply association since September 1952.

From 1946 to 1950 he was mayor and municipal director, and since 1946 he was a member of the district council. From May 6, 1951 to October 27, 1959, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament (2nd to 4th electoral period).
