The Rote Pockau , also known as Halbmeilenbach , is a 10 km long left tributary of the Schwarzen Pockau in the Ore Mountains .

It rises at a height of about 770 m above sea level. NN, about two kilometers northwest of the Marienberg district Kühnhaide . After a short run, it takes up the Zeuggraben from the left , which drains again after about 750 m. The Rote Pockau has created a deep cut in the terrain between the Marienberger and the Kühnhaidner plateau, which is around 100 meters higher. Below the Rätzteiche there is a steep Kerbtal, which turns into a Kerbsohlental in the locality of Pobershau . The Schlettenbach is recorded at the northern exit of Pobershau . A few hundred meters further, the Rote Pockau flows out at an altitude of about 490 m above sea level. NN in the Black Pockau.
