Adolf Vögel (born February 15, 1891 in Doren ; † September 11, 1972 ibid) was an Austrian politician ( CS , ÖVP ) from the state of Vorarlberg . Among other things, he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament, a regional councilor in the Vorarlberg state government and a member of the Austrian Federal Council.

Live and act

Born on February 15, 1891 in the Bregenzerwald community of Doren, Adolf Vögel attended elementary school in his home community for 6 years and then worked as a farmer. From 1924 to 1932 he was a member of the municipal council of Doren and from 1932 Doren mayor for two years. Between 1928 and 1938 he was a member of the Vorarlberg state parliament for the Christian Social Party . During this term of office he was also President of the State Parliament from July 17, 1934 . From 1945 to 1964, Vögel was initially a member of the provisional Vorarlberg state committee and then a state councilor in the Vorarlberg state government . As a regional councilor, he worked in the first government cabinets after the Second World War under the leadership of Governor Ulrich Ilg . From 1947 to 1962, Adolf Vögel was also a member of the Austrian Federal Council sent by the Vorarlberg state parliament . For his services to the state of Vorarlberg, Vögel was awarded the gold medal of honor of the state of Vorarlberg in 1964 .
